Meet Hedgiez, the first NFT collection with a matchmaking app. Find love in the NFT ecosystem, or at least a pal for life.
With a collection of 10,000 procedurally generated Hedgehogs, and other perks to add utility, Hedgiez is an interesting project that is trying to switch things around.
Hedgiez's crown jewel is Quiller, picture it as Tinder for NFT holders. You can set up your profile, write a bio, and swipe right to like a user, or left to pass on them.
According to their roadmap, community building is an cornerstone aspect for them. 10% of the initial sale is funding giveaways, competitions, merch and promos for the community.
Finally, Hedgiez owners will get access to apparel and accessories designed by their in-house team (real life utility, anyone?)
At the start of September, the Hedgiez team opened a small batch of 594 NFTs for minting. The remaining 9.4k NFTs will be open for minting this October 25. Join their Discord server to not miss the date and snatch your own Hedgehog.
Non-fungible tokens are a way to represent the ownership of an item on the digital (or physical) world. These tokens have only one owner, and that ownership is validated on a blockchain (the most common one being Ethereum).
Historically, the management of digital rights and digital ownership was difficult. You can make a unique work of art in your PC, but anyone may copy/paste it and claim it as theirs, if they find the file online. Attempted solutions include the use of watermarks in photos and videos.
NFTs come to bring a different way of giving ownership to people, and rewarding creators — based on blockchain tech.
